My Story

Meet Monica!

Monica Herber, creator of The Joyful Unknown and a Certified Life and Marriage Coach, specializes in helping clients find joy amidst great challenges. Over the past three years, she has guided individuals and couples through their struggles, helping them discover the redemptive meaning of their suffering and reengage with life.

Married for nearly 15 years to her best friend Nathan, Monica and her husband adopted their son Caiden Emmanuel in 2015 after years of infertility. Caiden’s severe disabilities and Monica’s journey to find joy despite them inspired her coaching approach.

A New Yorker with a background in acting and nursing, Monica transitioned from a career in the arts and healthcare to ministry after a profound spiritual experience. She has been actively involved in Catholic ministry and UnBound deliverance prayer. Monica now lives in Greenville, South Carolina, enjoying life with her family.
