Day 15 What are you waiting for?
“I can’t wait till this year is over!”
Many have uttered these words and I too have been tempted to say them. But let’s think about this for a minute...what will magically change from now until then? Chances are we will still be in a pandemic, divided as a nation, and working/schooling from home. Today was brutal outside, but my mind wanted a challenge (my body disagreed). As the frigid rain stung my face, I thought about the tough years and the time I wasted waiting, begging God to change my circumstances. God, patiently and lovingly, has since whispered into my heart: “What are you waiting for? Your life is now.” I missed many joyous moments with my sweet son wishing for a time of better health. It’s funny, Caiden’s seizures have worsened in the last year, but I have never enjoyed him more. The tough times have taught me a huge lesson: don’t just go through a season, GROW through it! (Ok I didn’t come up with that quotable, Joel Osteen did-mercy!) So, what are you waiting for?
