Day 25 Progress is Slow

day25.jpg

Cold, dark & dreary outside and in mind. How is it possible that I’m getting slower??? I felt like I was running through molasses today! It’s so frustrating to work on something so consistently and not see the results you were expecting. It’s hard not to want to quit. Then my right hand woman (Caiden’s nurse, Rebecca who I would not be able to do any self-care without), encouraged me to look at the progress of my heart rate over the challenge. Turns out my average heart rate during my runs has decreased 14 bpm! Ok, I’ll take it. Times like these I have to remind myself that athletes aren’t made in 31 days. The first 31 days are meant to challenge and dare me/you into permanent change. Results are great, and will eventually happen, but lifestyle change is the point. In what area of your life is progress slow? What change in perspective could you make to encourage you to keep going?
