Attitude Adjustment
Attitude Adjustment
From today 2/17-4/3/21!
Do you find your entire day can be ruined by . . . a traffic jam, a long line at the super market, a snarky comment from the boss, a disagreement with a friend, a bad feeling or a small change of plans? If you answered yes, instead of frustration, wouldn’t you like to handle life’s tough moments with a smile, like my boy in these pics? I know I would! So, you ready for a new Joyful Unknown Challenge? (This time, get ready to give your mind a work out!) For the next 40 days (in the spirit of Lent-from Wed. Feb 17-Apr 3–everyday except Sundays) let’s give up bad attitudes. And you don’t have to be Christian to take on this challenge!
Like any nasty habit, stopping cold turkey is not so simple. It may be easier if you replace it. Like replacing sugary sweets with a piece of fruit, adopting a new life-giving attitude may prove to be more . . . well . . . fruitful! Meaning, instead of stress, the byproduct of your new attitude will be peace and maybe even JOY! Nonetheless, making the transition takes practice, persistence, and a lot of failure before enjoying sweet success.
Everyone is welcome to take part, but I am extending a special invite to other parents of children with special needs, caregivers, and those in the healing professions! Lord knows, we need all the joy we can get! So you ready? I’m not(remember I have to come up with something semi-brilliant, at least coherent to say daily—aaaaaaaaaghhh!) Here goes anyway...
What do you have to do? Just read these posts daily, ask yourself some questions, maybe write a quick note to yourself, and leave a comment if you like! Easy peasy. If you have any questions, please reach out!
Oh, and by the way, today is DAY 1! Assignment: Instead of an attitude of reluctance, try a more daring attitude of YES, and just do it!
